Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino Joins Huizenga School as Corporate Partner
Jeff Ostrow, managing partner of TKO, is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the firm. He has been named as one of Florida's “Legal Elite Attorneys,” a finalist for the South Florida Business Journal's Key Partners Award, and is a member of Cambridge Who's Who Among Executives and Professionals. Ostrow graduated from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University with a Juris Doctorate.
Turner Construction Company, located in the heart of downtown Miami, is the newest Huizenga School corporate partner. The Huizenga School is proud to announce the anticipated October start of an on-site MBA program at Turner. Turner Construction Company, founded in 1902, is a recognized leader in the construction industry.

Carlos Castresana, of Fort Lauderdale, partner with Edify LLC, was appointed to the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness for a term beginning May 4, 2007.
New technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer will soon be available at the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of the Broward Health. The first addition (expected in six months) will be the Varian Image Guided Radiation Therapy Systems, followed by the CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System. And a third addition, the Proton Beam Therapy System, will provide the safest and most advanced form of radiation treatment for children and adults.
Coastal Construction Group was presented with the “2008 Business of the Year Award“ by the South Florida Business Journal in the Construction/Engineering/Architecture over $100 Million category, April 2008.
Albert Miniaci, president/CEO of Paramount Vending & Coffee Services and his wife Beatriz were featured in the June issue of Las Olas Lifestyle magazine. The article recognized the Miniacis for their dedication to philanthropic causes as well as their entrepreneurial accomplishments. Of all their travels, visits to Mongolia remain special to the Miniacis—where they offered a fifteen year old boy the opportunity to obtain his education in the United States. The young man, Gunbold Gumba Ligden attended the North Broward Preparatory School and is now a twenty-one year old finance major at NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Ligden credits the Miniacis for changing his life and Mr. Miniaci for “being a father figure, a tremendous influence in my life, instilling important values such as doing your best, being honest and being yourself when relating to other people.”

The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship welcomes Gulfstream Racing and Casino as Corporate Partners. Gulfstream Park is Florida’s premier thoroughbred track and county-approved racino in Hallandale Beach. One of the most important venues for horse racing in America, highlights include the $1 million Florida Derby (which produced 21 Kentucky Derby winners, including Barbaro and Big Brown). Rock 'n' Roll Night, September 12, 2008
The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship held its fourth annual Rock 'n' Roll Night on September 12 at the Signature Grand. The event raised more than $125,000 for undergraduate scholarships and several corporate partners were in attendance. The scholarships will benefit Huizenga School students in need of financial assistance.
