This process involves a review of your academic record to verify degree completion. Once approved, your degree will be conferred and a diploma will be generated. You should apply during your final semester in the program.

Requirements for Graduation
- Earn a total of 120 credits (no duplication of classes)
- Complete all degree requirements for major of study
- Earn a minimum overall NSU GPA of 2.0
- Earn a minimum 2.25 GPA in all major courses taken at NSU
- Earn a minimum 2.25 GPA in all minor courses taken at NSU (if applicable)
- Transfer credits can not exceed 90 credits
- 50% of major and minor courses must be completed at NSU

Things to Consider During Your Academic Career
While completing your course work at NSU please keep the following points in mind:
- Notify your Academic Advisor when you are repeating a class for a better grade
- To graduate with honors a minimum of 54 credits must be earned at NSU and a student must have a GPA of 3.8 or higher
- When declaring a second major or a minor, declaration must be made prior to the completion of 90 credits (please see your advisor regarding declaring a second major or a minor for additional policy information)

- Notify your Academic Advisor when you are repeating a class for a better grade
- Courses cannot be taken concurrently with capstone.
- If you are pursuing a Certificate, make sure your advisor has this noted in your record. Certificate courses must be completed prior to capstone. Students can return after graduation to complete a certificate as a non-degree student, however, courses cannot be taken concurrently with capstone.
