The GBSA is an organization within the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship established for students to promote group interaction, social networking, professional development, and entry into the local business community. The GBSA provides an opportunity for the student to interact with local business and government leaders through forums, debates, and educational programs. Recent activities include textbook exchanges, “Lunch and Learn” workshops, business etiquette dinners, a graduation cruise, holiday dessert mixers with fund-raising raffles for the Jack & Jill Children’s Center, and a BBQ event honoring Dean Pohlman.
The GBSA Board is composed of at least four elected MBA students. (Annual elections for the board are held in October.) Together with other MBA student volunteers, they meet regularly to plan and execute events. A Huizenga School faculty member and a staff administrator provide oversight to the GBSA.
