Developing Operations Manuals and Franchise Training Systems
This lively "how to" workshop guides franchise support and training professionals in how to build user-friendly operations manuals, the first critical step in preparing your franchisees to operate their businesses more effectively. Whether you are new to franchise training or a seasoned pro, this program is designed to offer you insight into designing and delivering effective and engaging franchise training programs. In this two-day program we will discuss the mechanics of building the manuals, how to create "world class" training programs, as well as provide tips and tricks on how to keep the programs fun and ensure that they are effective.

Fee of $1,145.00 includes tuition, a comprehensive manual and instructional materials, and continental breakfast, breaks and lunch. Multiple registrations from the same company qualify for IFE Value Pricing (three or more registering from the same company). Attend the IIFE Successful/Innovative Franchising: Developing and Improving Support and Technology Systems program on April 12-13, 2007, and save $50.00 on the registration fee for each program.

- understand what manual content to avoid in order to protect your company from vicarious liability lawsuits and the difference between the Confidential Operations and General Operations Manual
- identify the benefits of having various groups involved in creating the operations manual
- identify the appropriate chain of command and approval process for the final manual
- realize the benefits of having a single operations manual vs. functional manuals for different positions within the organization
- design manuals and training tools that are user friendly, easily updated, and stored
- create an effective and dynamic initial franchise training program and determine who should be involved in creating the training programs
- identify what other training programs are important to offer franchisees and their staffs
- develop methods for keeping the programs fun and interactive

Instructor
Jennifer S. Roberts, CFE, founder of Roberts Consulting Services (RCS) and FranchiseOperations.com, works hand-in-hand with franchise organizations to design operational support and training programs to promote successful franchise channels. She has over 15 years of experience in management, business operations, development of training/support programs and franchise sales. She specializes in working with emerging franchisors to create strong franchise support programs. Prior to founding RCS, Jennifer served in several key roles with New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, including field operations specialist, program development manager and international start-up manager.
Accommodations
Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida, programs take place in the Carl DeSantis Building at Nova Southeastern University, H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Information will be provided to you prior to the start of the program pertaining to the appropriate room number, parking information, directions, etc.
Hotel information will be provided to participants when they register for a course. When making your hotel accommodations, you must identify yourself as a NSU IIFE program participant and reserve your room 30 days before the program starts to assure special rates and available space.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
We realize that occasionally you need to cancel your registration. You can substitute another individual in your place at any time prior to the first day of a program. If you wish to receive a refund or credit toward a future IIFE program, the following applies: cancellations received 30 days before a program begins will be issued a refund, less a $150.00 processing fee. Cancellations received six to 29 days prior to the start of a program will get 50 percent of the registration fee refunded.
We are sorry that we cannot provide a refund or credit if we receive your written cancellation in five or fewer business days before the start of the program.
CFE Credits
The Developing Operations Manuals and Franchise Training Systems program has been awarded 300 CFE Core/Elective credits by the Institute for Certified Franchise Executives. We notify the ICFE after the program and tell them who attended.
