International Society of Franchising
The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University is the headquarters of the International Society of Franchising (ISOF), a multidisciplinary, multinational membership organization composed primarily of university professors. ISOF provides a means for professors who are interested in franchising to discuss relevant teaching and research methodologies. Most members conduct scholarly research to enhance knowledge of the franchising phenomenon. Research findings are presented at their annual conference, arranged and coordinated by the International Institute for Franchise Education at Nova Southeastern University.
Sixteen countries are represented in ISOF’s membership and many members conduct research in international franchising. For 16 years ISOF has accumulated and disseminated information on international franchising, franchisor/franchisee relationships, systems structure, hospitality management, entrepreneurship and other special topics, including legal research. Three hundred and seventy-two (372) franchise research papers are available from IIFE and may be ordered on this web site.
