Program DescriptionMost healthcare provider organizations have evolved into complex interdependent structures with three underlying purposes: Treatment Management, Operational Management and Financial Management. The participants will explore each phase of Six Sigma's DMAIC methodology as it relates to the operationally excellent health care organization, including, project charters, process mapping, cause-and-effect tools, simple data analysis, change management and process improvement, and basic control methods. Topics covered in class are relevant to all levels of experience. Case studies and in-class simulations allow the participant to combine and utilize concepts learned during the course. Learning OutcomesBecause of their knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, participants who complete the course will be able to identify process improvement opportunities in their health care organization and can be a valuable resource within Lean Six Sigma project teams when improving that process, if needed. InstructorDr. Hal Wiggin, Master Black Belt Hal Wiggin has been involved in government and agency organizational and process improvement activities for over 30 years. He was Director of Planning and Quality Improvement for the Broward Children's Services Council and Regional Manager of Performance and Planning for the Florida Department of Children and Families. Hal started his career as a mental health counselor and school psychologist before completing a doctoral program in educational leadership. He is a planner, trainer, and quality improvement professional. Besides Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Hal has specific expertise in strategic planning, measurement systems, situational leadership, coaching, and group facilitation. He is currently helping Nova Southeastern University develop and implement a new LSS program. With our extensive resources and program facilitators, we will design a program that is tailored to fit your specified objectives and requirements. Substitution, Cancellation, Fee and Transfer PoliciesWe realize that occasionally you need to cancel your registration. You can substitute another individual in your place at any time prior to the first day of a program. If you wish to receive a credit toward a future program: we will allow you to transfer you registration to a future date of the same program you are enrolled in currently, provided we receive written notice two weeks prior to the start date of the class you are currently registered in. You are permitted to re-register only one time. If you wish to receive a refund: written cancellations received 30 calendar days before a program begins will be issued a full refund, less a $150.00 processing fee; written cancellations received 6 to 29 calendar days prior to the start of a program will get 50 percent of the registration fee refunded. We apologize but we cannot provide a refund if we receive your written cancellation in five or fewer business days prior to the start of the program.
