Dr. John Riggs

John Riggs is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Nova Southeastern University. He earned his Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) in Marketing from Kennesaw State University. Dr. Riggs has a B.S. degree in Health Science from the University of Florida, and an M.B.A. from Kennesaw State University.

Dr. Riggs has more than 25 years of professional and managerial sales expertise in the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry. Over the course of his professional career, Dr. Riggs has held numerous roles. Starting as a sales representative, he soon moved into sales management and eventually held the position of sales director for the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Prior to pursuing his academic career, Dr. Riggs held the position of Global Vice President of contracting and pricing integrity for a biotech firm.

Dr. Riggs' research interests include selling and sales management. More specifically, exploring how sales and marketing influences impact medical decision making, selling in healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical marketplaces...its impact on patient health outcomes.

Dr. Riggs is a national and international speaker on selling and sales management. His greatest passion is teaching and training the sales professionals of today and tomorrow.
