Program Design and Structure
Our delivery system features weekends courses offered in several locations.
No. Our program is based on live instruction and lively dialogue among students and faculty.
The answer to this question varies as a function of the professional obligations of our students. Some students complete only one course per term (3 courses annually) while others complete two or three courses per term.
The doctoral program can be completed in three years. Most students require 3 ½ to 4 years for completion. This includes dissertation time.
If you are enrolled at one of our educational locations you will travel to your selected site once per month.
Yes, but you need to complete one specialization before beginning a second specialization. Your dissertation must be related to your first specialization.
Yes. The dissertation is a required component of the doctoral program. You should begin work on your dissertation during your first term of enrollment in the program. Students generally have made significant progress on their dissertations before completing core and specialty courses.
Your dissertation committee will consist of three scholars, one of whom must be a full-time faculty member at Nova Southeastern University.
Costs and Scholarship Opportunities
Tuition and fees for the program are competitively priced.
Because the doctoral program is designed for working professionals who will be continuing to pursue their full-time careers, teaching assistantships are not offered.
Research assistantships are based on merit and one or two such appointments may be offered annually.

Application and Admission to the Doctoral Programs
Students may only begin doctoral study in the Fall Term (September). As such, it is important that you attend to the following application deadline:
Yes. Program applicants who do not hold an earned doctorate must submit GMAT test scores.
Yes, up to 8 credits may be transferred to the doctoral program.
No, letters of recommendation are not required. You may choose to submit such letters in support of your application, however they are optional.
Generally, formal interviews are not required. In certain situations however, the Director of Doctoral Programs or the Executive Associate Dean may contact you by telephone or email for additional information.
Admission decisions are offered only after your Application for Admission is complete (all materials have been received). Decisions regarding your admission are generally made within one to four weeks of the file completion date.
