An invitation to excel - Honors Program
A limited number of freshmen and sophomores will be invited to participate in Nova Southeastern University's
General Honors Program. Honors courses encourage active informed dialogue and critical thinking. Participation
in these courses will be noted on the student's academic transcript.
Upper-division (junior and senior) students may be invited to participate in the Huizenga School's Divisional Honors
Program. Honors students complete an independent research project under the direction of a faculty advisor. This
project may result in a presentation at a national or regional conference or publication in a professional journal.
Highly interactive Honors courses and the close mentoring relationships between students and faculty provide Honors
students opportunities rarely experienced at the undergraduate level.
Honors students may also elect to participate in our Co-Curricular Honors Community. Membership in this community
provides students study abroad opportunities, access to our nationally recognized Speakers Series, and invitation to
special campus events.
To be considered for Honors Enrollment, please complete our Application for Undergraduate Honors Program.
