How to Apply - Master's Degree Application Requirements top
Applications for our Master's degree programs are individually reviewed and admission is offered to those applicants who meet both qualitative and quantitative criteria. All required documentation must be received before an admission decision can be offered.
Required documentation:
- Completed Master's Application for Admission and non-refundable $50 application fee.
- Evidence of conferral of baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.50 or greater on a 4.00 scale as reflected on official, final transcripts of all undergraduate institutions attended. Applicants will be considered eligible for admission if their undergraduate GPA in the final 60 hours of their enrollment is a 2.50 or greater on a 4.00 scale.
- GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examination) scores are required of all applicants who have earned a 2.25-2.49 cumulative undergraduate GPA or who have earned a GPA of 2.25-2.49 in the last 60 hours of their undergraduate program. The minimum acceptable GMAT score is 450. The minimum accepted GRE score is 1,000.
International applicants are required to submit the following:
- All applicants must provide evidence of undergraduate degree completion. The degree completed must be the equivalent of a U.S. baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution. This may require independent academic evaluation of a copy of the applicant's academic record or degree.
- Official academic transcripts from all institutions attended
- Minimum 2.50 on a 4.00 scale cumulative undergraduate GPA.
- GMAT score if cumulative college grade point average is 2.25-2.49. The minimum GMAT score is 450. The minimum GRE score is 1,000.
- A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. The TOEFL must have been taken within one year of application. Minimum paper score = 550; minimum computerized score = 213; minimum Internet score = 79. For sending TOEFL scores, NSU's institution code is 5514. A score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (ILETS) exam is accepted in lieu of the TOEFL. A letter on official letterhead from the applicant's prior universities stating that the course material was taught and studied in English may suffice for the TOEFL requirement.

Special Note Regarding the Online Application for Admission
The online Application for Admission is located at https://webstar.nova.edu/pls/PROD/bwskalog.P_DispLoginNon. You must create a login ID and a PIN. The PIN must be 6 digits long. Record this information should you need to return to the application at a later date.
When all information has been provided, you must click on the navigation button "Application is Complete." Please note that you MUST download, print, and send the signature page to Nova Southeastern University in order for the application to be considered complete.

As all required materials are received by Nova Southeastern University, you will receive email acknowledgements.

International Applicants top
International applicants are welcome participants in the Master's programs at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Applicants should carefully review both the Application Requirements and Application Checklist.
In addition, international applicants should be aware of each of the following:
Academic Transcript Evaluation
- If your degree was completed outside of the United States, you must have your transcript evaluated by a NACES accredited organization. A list of these organizations can be found at www.naces.org
- Be certain that your independent academic evaluation lists degree equivalency and includes a GPA (grade point average) on a 4.0 scale as well as a course-by-course credit evaluation.
- Academic evaluations must be completed for all undergraduate work.
English Competency
- TOEFL scores earned more than one year prior to the date of enrollment will not be accepted.
- A score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (ILETS) examination is acceptable in lieu of the TOEFL.
- A letter on official letterhead from the applicant's prior universities stating that the course material was taught and studied in English may suffice for the TOEFL requirement.
International Applicant Financial Statement
Any international applicant who requires a student visa must submit a bank verification statement or an official letter of sponsorship from their government or agency (in English). The bank verification must include the applicant's name and relationship to the sponsor if other than the applicant, and confirm that there are sufficient funds to cover the amount listed on the expense sheet ( ) provided to the international applicant upon admission. The expense sheet covers all estimated educational expenses ( ) including; tuition ( ), books, housing, meals, personal expenses, fees and medical insurance for a minimum of one year's study.
If the applicant wishes to include his or her family, the following is required: 1) In the bank verification or letter of sponsorship list each family member's name, date of birth, country of citizenship and relationship, and 2) financial support of approximately $8,000 for a spouse and $2,500 for each child per year.
No Certificate of Eligibility (I-20) will be issued unless the above documentation is on file. The bank verification or sponsorship letter must be dated no more than 6 months prior to enrollment. International applicants are encouraged to apply early to allow sufficient time to process the I-20 form. The I-20 form will be sent to the applicant upon receipt of a deposit confirming the applicant's intent to enroll in the program.
The I-20
The I-20 will be issued by Nova Southeastern University upon full admission to the University. For more information on how to obtain and I-20, visit the Office of International Students.
F1-Student Visa
Any international applicant planning to reside in the United States while studying at Nova Southeastern University must obtain an F-1 Student Visa. For more information on how to obtain a student visa, visit UnitedStatesVisas.gov.
Conditions of Admission top
Full Admission
Applicants who meet each of the requirements for admission may be offered full admission to the Master's degree program to which they are seeking admission.
To be fully admitted to Master's degree programs, all applicants must provide, official, final college transcripts AND official copies of GMAT or GRE scores (in addition to all other required documentation) within 45 days of acceptance.
Provisional Admission
Applicants who choose to submit unofficial college transcripts showing degree conferred and examinee copies of GMAT or GRE scores may be offered provisional admission to the Master's programs. It is important to recognize that a provisionally accepted student may register for one term only.
Special Admission
Applicants with an undergraduate degree from a non-regionally accredited institution will be considered for admission. Such applicants must demonstrate an undergraduate GPA of 2.50 or greater on a 4.00 scale. A minimum GMAT score of 450 may also be required, at the discretion of the Executive Associate Dean.
PREREQUISITE COURSES top
Because Master's level study extends knowledge and skills acquired in both the classroom and workplace, each of our programs of study assume prerequisite knowledge in selected content areas. Satisfactory completion of prerequisite courses requires a "C" grade or better in each.

TRANSFER COURSES top
The Huizenga School will accept up to two courses (six credits) of master's level course work completed at another regionally accredited institution as a transfer credit. The following conditions apply to transfer courses:
Please note that application for the approval of transfer credit must be made at the time of application to the Master's Program. Applicants are not permitted to transfer credits after the date of their first matriculation in any Huizenga School graduate program.

Students may begin master's study in the Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall. Students appreciate the flexibility our rolling admission policy affords them. While this policy allows our admissions committee to make decisions throughout the calendar year, please recognize that we limit the size of each entering class. As such, applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as far in advance as possible for processing and decision making.
