International Field Seminar

The Master of International Business Administration gives students the option to travel on the International Field Seminar to emerging markets, such as China, India, South Africa, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Chile, Cuba, Czech Republic, Brazil, Russia, and Dubai UAE.

The IFS project was initiated in 1998. Each unique experience is developed using a combination of cold calling (emailing) to new contacts and builds on existing global networks. Each IFS is put together in conjunction with its host university, so that each IFS is different but all are the experience of a lifetime. The students participating bring the IFS to life each time and the Professor is often asked by students which is the best IFS... and the answer is always "each and every one of them!."

"The South Africa International Field Seminar was absolutely an enlightening and lifetime experience. This was really the best way to finish my MIBA educational journey at Nova Southeastern University. The field trip gave me an inside look at a foreign country's university, businesses, and culture, typically not easy to see in one trip. The trip was even more rewarding as I fulfilled my lifetime dream of going on a Safari; Kruger National Park was truly an astonishing and hard to duplicate trip. I highly recommend the MIBA program and field seminar."
