NSU and UM Business Schools Featured in SFBJ
The University of Miami's business school and Nova Southeastern University's H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship were featured in an article that ran in the South Florida Business Journal on November 20. The article discussed the Huizenga School's plan to add 25 new faculty positions in the next three years. In the article, Michael Fields, Ph.D., dean of the Huizenga School, said it would normally take five to 10 years to get this kind of opportunity. As stated in the article, the Huizenga School will emphasize the return on investment businesses can obtain through employee tuition reimbursement, and that the Huizenga School will focus on providing degree and certificate programs that provide measurable value and return to the business. Paul Sallarullo, who is on the Huizenga School's board of governors, is in support of Fields' plan and was quoted: “It's like giving a new coach the most draft picks of anybody else.” |
