III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
1) The accounts in the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. 2) Ratio analysis and its applications to financial statement analysis. 3) The capital asset pricing model and its use in portfolio management. 4) The allocation of debt and equity in capital structure decisions. 5) Financial leverage and its influence on the use of debt financing. 6) Time value of money and its application to bond analysis. 7) Stock analysis tools including the dividend discount model. 8) Basic financial modeling applications using standard software for the time value of money, net present value and IRR, and loan amortization. 9) Forecasting and the preparation of cash budgets. 10) The determination of the cost of capital. 11) Economic Value Added and Market Valued Added measures. 12) The formulation of dividend policy. 13) Working capital management. 14) Cash and marketable securities management.
