ISM 3660 - Management Information Systems


I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
Discusses the use of computers in business, as well as database management and information system fundamentals.

II. PREREQUISITES
Not required

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
1)        Understand computer technology related to management of organizations.
2)        Be aware of techniques used to develop and implement IS in organizations.
3)        Understand the interfaces of IS with business functions.
4)        Understand end user requirements and architectures to satisfy those requirements.
5)        Develop communications skills in order to articulate and defend one's position.
6)        Synthesize all of the above into a coherent picture from which to forecast the future directions and challenges for management information systems.
