I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
Topics include international monetary systems, foreign exchange markets, exchange rates, international financial institutions, and capital markets. Prerequisite: ECN 2025.

II. PREREQUISITES
( ECN 2025 OR ECON 2025 )

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
1)        Comprehend the role of international financial transactions in the firm's overall corporate strategy.
2)        Perform a country risk analysis.
3)        Assess speculative profit from short-term movements in exchange rates/
4)        Use currency derivative instruments.
5)        Assess the extent and form of government intervention in exchange rates.
6)        Manage transaction exposure.
7)        Manage economic exposure.
8)        Perform capital budgeting analysis for a multinational.
9)        Forecast exchange rates.
10)        Compute multinational cost of capital and make capital structure decisions.
11)        Employ the techniques for financing international trade.
12)        Engage in short-term financing decisions.
