MGT 5110 - Effective Resume Writing


I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is the first of three Business Development Workshops, is held during the first term. It consists of three sessions, each lasting 2 hours. Grading is done on a pass/fail basis, based on class attendance and participation. This grade does not affect GPA. However, sessions are mandatory; students cannot graduate from the day M.B.A. program without passing this course.

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
Exit Competencies:

Through the theoretical study and practical application of the skills learned in this workshop, students will have increased awareness of the importance of a well-written resume in the job search process. Upon completion of the workshop, students will have been provided with extensive resources for composing and revising their resumes and cover letters. Students will also have acquired skills for critiquing, updating, and personalizing their resumes to fit a specific position.
