MGT 5111 - Business Communication


I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is the second of the three Business Development Workshops, is held during the second term. It consists of three sessions, each lasting 3 hours. Grading is done on a pass/fail basis, based on class attendance and participation. This grade does not affect GPA. However, sessions are mandatory; students cannot graduate from the day M.B.A. program without passing this course. The workshop is based upon lecture and practicing the skills learned through role-play exercises, group discussion, and small group activities.

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
Exit Competencies:

Upon completion of the workshop, students will have been provided with extensive resources for improving their communication skills through theory and practice. Not only will they be prepared to improve their own communication styles, but they will also have acquired experience in evaluating other people and groups. Students will also have increased awareness of underlying structures which affect communication in a company.
