MGT 5112 - Interviewing Techniques


I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is the last of the three Business Development Workshops, is held during the third term. It consists of three sessions, each lasting 3 ½ hours. Grading is done on a pass/fail basis, based on class attendance and participation. This grade does not affect GPA. However, sessions are mandatory; students cannot graduate from the day M.B.A. program without passing this course. The workshop is based upon lecture and discussion. Considerable class time is spent in preparing and executing practice oral structured interviews.

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
Exit Competencies:

Upon completion of the workshop, students will have had extensive preparation for future job interviewing through theory and practice. Not only will they be prepared for their own job interviews, but they will also have acquired experience as an interviewer. Students will know how to evaluate eligible candidates to fill an employment vacancy by conducting a structured oral interview on their own as well as well as with a panel.
