I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students develop a working knowledge of public-sector policymaking and learn to analyze public policy problems in order to understand how public policy is formulated, decided upon, and implemented. Emphasis is on agenda setting, program design, and implementation. Prerequisite: PUB 5450.

II. PREREQUISITES
( GMP 5450 OR PUB 5450 )
AND ( GMP 5473 OR PUB 5473 )

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
1) Describing and discussing the basic concepts of policy analysis and program development.
2) Explaining and applying basic models of public policy analysis and program evaluation.
3) Being able to conduct research on the policy cycle.
4) Demonstrating an adequate to excellent competency in applying functions of the policy cycle for interpretive purposes.
