ISM 5804 - Managing Information Systems Workshop


I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
The online course introduces M.I.B.A. students to the use of technology for managing workload, information, and electronic access, and for completing online courses.

II. PREREQUISITES
Not required

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
A. Entrance Competencies:

1) Students must meet the minimum computer requirements as stated in the Huizenga School catalog.
2) Students should have explored the Microsoft Office 2000 or XP professional package.

B. Exit Competencies:

1) Students will be familiar with the Microsoft Office 2000 or XP professional package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
2) Students will be able to use their Internet Service Provider efficiently.
3) Students will be able to navigate through and do research on the NSU Electronic Library.
4) Students will be able to use WebCT and its featured tools (Assignment Dropbox, WebCT email, Course Activities).
5) Students will have a basic introduction to creating web pages.
6) Students will effectively use and access their NSU email address.
