INB 5827 - Import/Export Principles and Practices


I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course covers a comprehensive review and analysis of operations planning, documentation, financing, and transportation. Students learn about the role of service providers, such as freight forwarders, the importance of free trade zones, existing export regulations and control, and import tariff structures. Prerequisites: ECN 5806 and MGT 5812.

AND ( GMP 5812 OR MGT 5812 )

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
A. Entrance competencies

It is expected that students will have a knowledge and an awareness of the:

10) Trade finance.
11) Export/Import regulations.
12) Selecting import products and suppliers.
13) The entry process for imports.
14) Import relief to domestic industry.
