QNT 6007 - Quantitative Methods


I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
After a synopsis of the various statistical metrics (mean, variance etc.), students will be introduced to a battery of inferential statistical tests. The emphasis will be on the appropriate selection, application and interpretation of both parametric and non-parametric hypothesis tests. Prerequisites: Undergraduate level statistics/quantitative methods and CSA (QNT) 6001.

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of the course, students will demonstrate competency in:
1) Basic descriptive and inferential statistical methods including the appropriate selection.
2) Use and interpretation of the results from the statistical methods (ie., hypothesis testing, ANOVA, Correlation analysis, Simple and Multiple Regression, Nonparametrics, Chi-Squared).
