DOC 6072 - Online Communications and Internet Competency


I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course includes both facility on a microcomputer of the student's choice and the use of the Nova Southeastern University campus-based computer system. Students who complete NSU's master's-level computer competency course will be exempt from this course.

II. PREREQUISITES
Not required

III. LEARNING OUTCOMES
1) Be familiar with the Microsoft Office XP Professional software package.
2) Save and retrieve documents in Microsoft Office.
3) Create attachments through e-mail.
4) Be able to navigate through and do research using NSU's Electronic Library.

    The APA Manual is a recommended textbook for all courses.
    Effective July 1st 2009, the 6th edition of the APA Manual is recommended for all courses.
