Young Entrepreneurs Council
To promote the further development of the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University, the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship Board of Governors hereby establishes and creates a Young Entrepreneurs Council, subject to the ultimate policy-making function of the Board of Trustees of Nova Southeastern University.
Mission Statement
To enhance the visibility of the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship and to support the activities of the Dean, faculty, and students by providing direct connections to the South Florida business community.

Read the full article here.Jane F. Bolin has joined the Young Entrepreneurs Council as a member. Jane is a Partner with PeytonBolin, PL. The firm practices condo/HOA law, consumer protection, and commercial litigation. The firm strives to maintain excellent client communication during the legal process and consistently evaluates and implements new technologies that provide more efficient case information access. Jane received her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University in Florida and is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the Southern District of Florida.
Terri Braun, Founder and President of Kidokinetics, provider of fitness programs for children recently established the first Kidokinetics franchise operation in Dallas, TX. Franchisee Scott Bradley was looking for a new business venture when he came across an article about Kidokinetics in USA Today. After visiting Kidokinetics in Florida, he returned to Dallas and found that many schools were looking for ways to combat the state’s childhood obesity problem. Terri joined the Young Entrepreneurs Council in 2007.
Mr. Steven W. Hudson—President of Hudson Capital Group: “Trinity Yachts LLC expands its services and announces the recent acquisition of International Yacht Collection. This acquisition will expand Trinity’s capabilities and enable it to offer its clients the entire range of yachting services: new construction, repairs, brokerage, charter management, retail charter, yacht management, and crew placement.”

Mr. Robert A. Isbitts, President and Chief Investment Officer of Emerald Asset Advisors, LLC published his book in 2006, titled “Wall Street’s Bull and How to Bear It” a guide for investors who seek to cut through the hype to get what they want from their wealth. Mr. Isbitts was selected as one of the Top Wealth Advisors in the United States by being named to the Worth 100 List of the Top Wealth Managers in the US by Worth Magazine for 2005, 2006, and 2007. Emerald Asset Advisors is one of 50 advisors nationally, and three in the state of Florida, that have accomplished this “three-peat”. He is the only Broward-based Wealth Manager to make that exclusive list any of the past three years.

Kenneth D. Rader, President and CEO of The Cereal Bowl, and co-founders Michael Glassman and Josh Rader were named by Florida Magazine to its 2008 “Power Players” list, which is made up of 100 Florida headliners, innovators, and dealmakers. The Cereal Bowl is scheduled to open two new locations in 2008, on Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, and another across from Georgetown University, in Washington, D.C. Kenneth is a new member of the Young Entrepreneurs Council.
Mr. Earl T. Shannon—CEO of P Swiss, Inc. announced the newly formed company has acquired the assets and the "P" logo trademark of Aurafin's former luxury watch brand, Pippo Italia. Telefonica USA’s CEO, Pete R. Pizarro, was presented with the “2007 Best CEO Award” at the South Florida Business Journal’s Technology Awards ceremony, May 2007. Telefonica USA received further recognition at South Florida Business Journal’s “Business of the Year” in the technology category, April, 2007. YEC member Jacks Sterenfeld is Global Solutions Manager with Telefonica USA.
Wayne E. Stofsky, Business Development Manager with Castle Group. Wayne is responsible for business development, sales and marketing for the Castle Group. Castle is a residential property services company that specializes in the management of large homeowner and condominium associations. The company also owns CastleGuard, a security guard company that provides access control, rovers and front desk concierge to residential and commercial properties.
Dr. James Barry and his MBA marketing students completed their Marketing Plan Development Project with the following YEC members/companies: David Blyer, Profiles in Concrete, Inc.; Yolanda Harris, The Keynote Group; Rob Isbitts, Emerald Asset Advisors, LLC; Jeffrey Kramer, Kramer Weisman & Associates, LLP; Matt Kuttler, ReStockIt.com; Ruchel Louis, Successful Images, Inc.; and Andy McNeill, American Meetings, Inc.. The projects have been a great exercise for both the students and the participating companies.
Young Entrepreneurs Council Meet & Mingle, September 16, 2008
On September 16th a combined meeting was held with the Huizenga School's Board of Governors and the YEC in the Amaturo Board of Governors Room. Following the meeting a “Meet & Mingle” took place on the Robert H. Rush balcony.

Rock 'n' Roll Night, September 12, 2008
The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship held its fourth annual Rock 'n' Roll Night on September 12 at the Signature Grand. The event raised more than $125,000 for undergraduate scholarships and several Young Entrepreneurs Council members were in attendance. The scholarships will benefit Huizenga School students in need of financial assistance.
