On Saturday, June 7th, 2008 at 4:00 p.m., the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, the Center for Psychological Studies, Oceanography, the Graduate School of Humanities & Social Sciences, the Graduate School of Computer & Information Sciences, and the Graduate School of Criminal Justice will jointly hold the 2008 Graduate Commencement Exercises. Commencement recognizes and celebrates undergraduate students' successful completion of their academic programs. Participation in commencement does not guarantee that a student has graduated, nor is it a graduation requirement. However, many students—as well as their families and friends—look forward to the ceremony as a rite of passage bridging school and career. |

| Participation | |
Graduating students planning to participate in commencement should complete the Commencement Participation Form mailed to them from the Office of the University Registrar. Both parts of the form must be returned to the NSU Bookstore in the envelope provided, along with a nonrefundable fee to cover cap and gown expenses and use of the BankAtlantic Center. Faxed forms will not be accepted. (However, Miami-Dade and Broward county residents must present participation forms in person to the NSU Bookstore.) Note that the commencement participation fee does not cover the degree (diploma) application fee. Final instructions regarding graduation will be mailed about two weeks prior to the ceremony to those graduating students who submit participation forms and payment. |

| Diploma | |
During the ceremony, students will be called to the stage, announced as candidates for graduation, and be awarded certificates of congratulations. Diplomas are not distributed at commencement. In order to receive the official diploma, graduating students must submit an Application for Degree to the Office of the University Registrar (Online) |
