Huizenga College of Business Students

Business Honor Societies

Honor societies are prestigious organizations that recognize and celebrate student achievement. Membership in an honor society is a mark of distinction, and it can provide students with a number of benefits, including academic enrichment, professional development, and scholarship and fellowship opportunities. Honor societies can also provide students with a sense of community and belonging.

The Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship is home to two honor societies, each of which recognizes and rewards students for their outstanding achievements in a particular area of business. You can learn more about these honor societies and their membership requirements below.

The mission of the International Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

Beta Gamma Sigma is The International Business Honor Society. Since 1913 we have recognized and honored top performing students from around the world in business schools accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We are also a proud member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). Through our dedication to providing lifetime value for our members, we work to bring programs, connections, benefits, and opportunities to every individual in our organization.

To be considered for initiation into Beta Gamma Delta, students must have all course work finished by the end of March with an overall GPA of 3.80, and be invited to commencement. M.P.A. students are not included. Eligible students will be emailed more information regarding membership by the end of March.
