Dr. Leslie Tworoger

Dr. Tworoger is an Associate Professor in the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship of Nova Southeastern University. She teaches various management courses including Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Principals of Management, and Leadership Theory and Practice. Her research interests include leadership, uses of power in organizations, organizational change and managing virtual teams. She previously served as the faculty advisor to the Graduate Business Student Association.

She was the co-owner of Ft. Lauderdale Showcase, a meeting planning company, with clients such as Westinghouse, Ryder Systems and American Express, for eleven years prior to its sale in 1993. She has served as a marketing consultant to the School Board of Broward County charged with developing a plan for the under enrolled schools in the county.

She is the immediate past Chairman of the Board of the Community Foundation of Broward. She previously served on the boards of the Museum of Art, the Museum of Discovery and Science, Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Outreach Broward, Family Central, Jack and Jill Children's Center, ChildNet, and Children and Family Leadership Association.

She has been recognized by the Philharmonic Society, the March of Dimes, and Leadership Broward for her long time community service. She also received the President’s Award from the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce for her role in co-founding the Partners in Education program.

Dr. Tworoger has an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, an M.B.A. and a D.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Tworoger was awarded the Huizenga School's "Excellence in Teaching Award" for 2007.
