Dr. Ordean Olson

Dr. Olson has been teaching financial management and economics at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University for the last 18 years. He has taught at the Farquhar Center for Undergraduate Studies and the doctoral and master's programs at the Huizenga School teaching financial management and economics. He has taught at locations throughout the United States, Japan, Canada, Jamaica, Bahamas, Colombia, Panama and Israel. He recently conducted an international financial seminar for the faculty of La Universidad Autonoma De Bucaramanga in Bucaramanga, Colombia. He has just completed a personal finance seminar for the Miami Dolphins football team sponsored by the National Football League. He is active in the community serving on the Academy of Finance Advisory Committee of the Broward County School Board. He has twenty-five years experience in the field of financial management including senior management positions with Security Pacific National Bank (now Bank of America), and other large US Corporations. His background includes the position of senior negotiator for the State of California.

Dr. Olson specializes in the field of Financial Management and International Finance and has written numerous papers on International Finance and is published in the field of monetary and fiscal policy under different exchange rate regimes and optimum currency areas. He competes as a professional golfer on the Senior Professional Golf (PGA) Tour during the summer months. His sports background includes playing basketball and baseball at San Diego State University and playing three years of professional baseball.

Dr. Olson is a decorated Korean War Veteran having served with the U. S. Air Force flying combat missions during the Korean War.
