Dr. Robert C. Preziosi Recipient of the "Professor of the Decade" Award (2000) Nova Southeastern University
Robert C. Preziosi has been teaching and training adults for decades. He was recently honored by inclusion of his autobiography in the book Quintessential Adult Educators of the 21st Century. He is a Professor of Management with the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. He is currently the Chair for NSU’s Master of Science program in Human Resource Management and the originator of the curriculum and design for NSU's Doctorate in Human Resource Management. In December of 2000, he was named "Professor of the Decade". In 1997, he received the school's first "Excellence in Teaching Award." In 2003 he was named "Faculty of the Year". He has been Vice President of Management Development and Training for a Fortune 50 company. In 1984, he was given the Outstanding Contribution to HRD Award by the American Society for Training and Development. In 1990, he received the "Torch Award," the highest leadership award that the Society can give. He was named HRD Professional of the Year for 1991. He has recently been named to the first edition of International Who's Who in Quality. In June 1996, he received his second Torch Award from the Society-the first time ASTD has given a second Torch Award to one individual.
Dr. Preziosi has worked as a human resources director, line manager, business school dean, and leadership training administrator. He has been published in various national publications, including Training and Development, National Productivity Review, The Teaching Professor, and Quality Review. He has been a consultant to consultants, educator of educators, and a trainer of trainers. He has been called a motivating management educator, and has worked with students, executives and trainers from all over the world. He is the Director of The Huizenga School's Leadership Impact Lab and was the Faculty Chair for the MS in Leadership. Four times he has been selected for Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
Bob's management education consulting experience includes all levels of management with many organizations including American Express, AT&T, Chubb, and a large number of government agencies, hospitals and banks. He has trained entire departments of trainers. He has been interviewed for Fortune, Meeting Management, Savings Institutions, Technical and Skills Training, The Miami Herald, The Sun Sentinel, and Training Development.
He has a B.A. degree in Social Science and M.Ed. degree in Educational Psychology. He received his Doctorate in Management. He has a special certification in Participative Leadership and Consulting Skills, and has completed study at Harvard University's Institute for the Management of Lifelong Education. He is listed in Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in American Education. Four times he's been recognized in Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
Bob has been a national seminar leader for American Management Association and Dun & Bradstreet. He has presented to regional and national and international conferences on various aspects of leadership, values, and adult learning. He has recorded a video entitled, "The High Performing Adult Educator," and a six-part audio program entitled, "Executive Success Strategies," as well as produced a six-part audio series on "Maximizing Adult Learning."
Bob is widely published. Two of his most recent publications are "How to Energize Your Leadership" and "How to be a World Class Facilitator of Learning." He was the editor of the Pfeiffer Annual on HRM and the Pfeiffer Annual on Management Development. He has written a book, "The Leadership Road".
