Dr. Robert Sellani

Dr. Robert J. Sellani is currently an Associate Professor at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship for Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining NSU, Dr. Sellani has 20 years financial and operations experience in high technology driven companies including Racal-Datacom, Harris Computer Systems, and Turbo Power and Marine (division of Pratt&Whitney). In addition, he was also a consultant with Ernst and Young in Charlotte N.C. in their Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Systems National Textile Consulting Practice. He specializes in Cost Management and Business Systems development, having been responsible for implementing four major MRPII/ERP systems and custom designed cost accounting modules.

At Nova Southeastern University he was directly responsible for the detail design, implementation, and management of the eMBA (electronic MBA) program started in 1997. Today, the program generates significant returns to the University, with over 1000 students taking online courses each term. This platform ultimately led to other programs coming online such as the eMACC (electronic Master’s in Accounting). He was the past faculty advisor for Alpha Kappa Psi, a national business fraternity recently established at NSU’s Huizenga School.

Dr. Sellani received his BBA and MBA from the University of Miami and DBA from Nova Southeastern University and was the first practicing accountant in South Florida to be certified in production and inventory management (CPIM). He has numerous publications in academic journals, written many practitioner articles, and been a featured guest speaker at meetings of the American Production and Inventory Control Society, the Florida Institute of CPA’s, and the Institute of Management Accountants.

In his spare time, Dr. Sellani is a Blues and Jazz drummer, and avid tennis player on the Plantation Central Park USTA 4.0 Men’s Senior tennis team, the Florida State Champions for 2009. He also loves to hike and has been on Aconcagua (Argentina), the Inca Trail (Peru), the Appalacian Trail, and has logged over 150 miles in the Grand Canyon.
