Diversity within Minority Communities: Islamic Influence on Spanish and Latin Culture
Muslim community leaders and Hispanic community leaders will provide an informational discussion demonstrating the shared Islamic heritage of Spanish and Latin cultures. Attendees should leave the program with a sense of the unity between cultures that are seemingly distant. Latin and Islamic food, music and art will be featured.

Benefit Bash 2008
A benefit to raise funds for Clinica Luz del Mundo in hopes of supporting their efforts for the well being of the local Hispanic population, while promoting Latin music and cultural awareness. Latin food will be served as part of a fun and entertaining night with local performers and NSU groups.

A panel discussion about the cultural barriers encountered when providing medical care to the Latin population. Guests will speak about the accomplishments of Hispanic doctors in medical history and how the medical community is dealing with the increase in non-English speaking Hispanic illegal immigrants.The panel will include:
